From 1 January this year, the requirement to use BHT (Bedriftshelsetjenester) services has been tightened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In accordance with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lovdata.no\/dokument\/NL\/lov\/2005-06-17-62\/KAPITTEL_4#%C2%A73-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Section 3-3 of the Working Environment Act<\/a>\u00a0<strong>Every employer must enter into a contract with an approved occupational health service (BHT \u2013 Bedriftshelsetjenester)<\/strong>, if the undertaking is subject to the risk factors set out in Chapter 2 of the Regulation on Administrative Arrangements, or if the undertaking operates in accordance with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lovdata.no\/forskrift\/2011-12-06-1355\/%C2%A713-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">these activity codes<\/a>, as specified\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lovdata.no\/forskrift\/2011-12-06-1355\/%C2%A713-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a7 13-1 Regulations on Organisation, Management and Employee Participation<\/a>\u00a0or was required to do so by the Norwegian Labour Inspectorate (Norwegian: Arbeidstilsynet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lovdata.no\/forskrift\/2011-12-06-1355\/%C2%A713-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a7 13-2 of the same Regulation<\/a>\u00a0<strong>requires every employer to\u00a0<\/strong><strong>actively seek advice from and use only the services of approved occupational health and safety (OHS) organisations when assessing hazardous working conditions, selecting preventive and risk-reduction measures, and drawing up a plan for the implementation of these measures, as well as when drawing up the company\u2019s health and safety procedures and instructions<\/strong>\u00a0and by jointly implementing health, environmental and safety measures within the company.
