Its aim is \u2013&nbsp;<strong>to identify the potential risks specific to your workplace and<\/strong>&nbsp;to prevent occupational diseases and accidents. BHT company&nbsp;<strong>does not treat<\/strong>&nbsp;occupational illnesses or the consequences of a poor working environment, even though we have doctors working for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Norwegian law,&nbsp;<strong>A BHT company must be recognised by the Labour Inspectorate<\/strong>&nbsp;(Arbeidstilsynet) and provides services to a range of businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A business must draw up&nbsp;<strong>a contract with a BHT company<\/strong>&nbsp;and receive their services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When is a contract with BHT mandatory?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Norwegian Labour Inspectorate has laid down specific&nbsp;<strong>sectors where the risks to employees\u2019 health are greater.<\/strong>&nbsp;All companies operating in these sectors must have a contract with a recognised occupational health and safety organisation. These include construction, cleaning services, restaurants, manufacturing and many others. A full list can be found on the Arbeidstilsynet website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the actual benefits of BHT for a company?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Risk assessment: BHT\u2019s specialists help to identify risk factors in your working environment (e.g. noise, dust, chemicals, ergonomics) and draw up a prevention plan (part of the OHS plan).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health checks: Organises targeted health checks for staff in relation to specific occupational risk factors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consultations: Provides advice on workplace adaptation, ergonomics and improving the psychosocial environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support within the HSE system: Helps to integrate preventive measures into the company\u2019s overall HSE system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, the Labour Inspectorate promises to pay particular attention to how companies actually make use of the services provided by occupational health and safety firms.
