HMS course for the company manager
According to Norwegian law, the manager of a company must receive training on systematic measures for health, working environment and safety (Working Environment Act, section 3-5).
This Nord HMS course will help managers to further understand their responsibilities and the occupational safety requirements for companies.
The course is based on the recommendations of the Labour Inspectorate (Arbeidstilsynet) and all the materials and the test are in the course language (Lithuanian, Polish, Russian, English or Norwegian).
About the course
Yes, the Working Environment Act (Arbeidsmiljøloven) requires every employer to complete an HMS course designed for company managers, so that the employer has sufficient knowledge to organise systematic HMS work within their company.
This course is intended for company managers who are responsible for organising the work in practice and are legally accountable for ensuring compliance with HMS requirements within the company.
The course covers the key principles of HMS, the employer’s responsibilities and obligations, the HMS system, risk assessment, action plans, the management of HMS breaches, employee involvement, and the day-to-day organisation and assurance of employee health and safety within the company.
It is particularly useful for new managers, owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, and representatives of Norwegian branches of foreign companies (NUF) who are overseeing projects in Norway.
