New study by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority: a lack of HSE training is directly linked to an increase in workplace safety breaches.

Based on 51,302 inspections carried out over the last 10 years, a clear trend has emerged:

➡️ In workplaces where employers and managers have not received health and safety training, the number of breaches is significantly higher. This shows that a lack of knowledge directly affects the ability to ensure a safe working environment.

➡️ In small businesses, HMS training is less commonly implemented, which is why non-compliance is more frequently identified. Smaller businesses often lack clear processes, which increases the risk of errors and non-compliance.

➡️ When employers, middle managers and health and safety representatives have completed HMS training, other workplace indicators are also much more likely to meet the requirements. The training has a tangible impact on both safety and the working culture within the organisation.

If your company has not yet arranged the compulsory health and safety training, please get in touch – we will help you ensure a safe working environment and avoid non-compliance.
