This is an official document in which the employer records employees who are, or may be, exposed to factors that pose a risk to their health. The register is necessary so that, in the future, it will be possible to determine the extent of exposure, assess the cause of occupational diseases and plan risk-reduction measures.

???? Here are the main situations in which registration is compulsory:

➡️ Exposure to asbestos dust – during renovation, demolition, the removal of insulation or the handling of old pipework.

➡️ Working with lead or lead compounds – when removing old paint or coatings, or maintaining metal structures.

➡️ Long-term exposure to hardwood dust – in joinery workshops, when sanding floors, and during furniture-making work.

➡️ Exposure to dust and fumes from tar, soot or combustion products – in chimney maintenance and industrial boiler areas.

➡️ Exposure to biological risk factors in risk groups 3 or 4 – in cleaning, healthcare, laboratory and waste management work.

➡️ Working with carcinogenic or mutagenic chemicals – in surface treatment, and in certain painting or manufacturing processes.
